Daisy
(Dec. 18, 1908)

Once in a garden bloomed a daisy all alone
The gardener he loved her, said the daisy was his own
but Daisy was a fickle lass, she gilted him they say
and every night in the pale moon light he sang this sad, sweet lay

Chorus
Daisy you are supreme of my heart you are a queen
you'r the sweetest flo'r that ever grew and I love you so
say that you will be my own share with my by humble home
answer Daisy don't be lazy answer daisy do

Time passed and Daisy Bell a faded flower grew
The gardener still loved her with affections fond and true
but Daisy would not harken. Said she "you are mortal man
and I, sir, am a floweret and wed I never can
