My Greenland Maid
(Aug. 28, 1908)

'Way up north where the reindeers grow.
In the land of ice, in the land of snow
lived a quaint and furry little Esquimo
....queer little Greenland maid.
Whe wore the fur of a polar bear.
She wore wampum in her hair;
and when there was doing she was laways there.
....This little Greenland maid.

Chorus
This maid from far 'way Greenland, so petiete so sweet so dear.
O! she's a lass from the land of the midnight sun, where the skys are ever clear.
And she is always breight and cheery; with a heart that's not afraid.
And she'll love you to distraction this quaint little furry maid.

White man came with a heart so cold.
From the shouth he came, on a quest for gold.
Saw this furry maiden and the quickly told
....words of love sincere.
One night they sat on a cake of snow.
He made love to her soft and low;
Hug'ed and kissed this dusky little Esquimo
... then he sailed away.
