When Hiram comes to town

Now Hiram Hay, was a country jay, he came to see the town.
He old his oats and a load of shoats and he came to paint it brown.
He saw the sights on old broadway and I guess they were a few.
Said Hiram, "'tis a grand old town. I'm glad, I happened through.
And I would like to stay here don't you know.
It makes me sad to think that I mus go.
